We’re super excited to be launching Gradspotters; a new space dedicated to championing emerging graduates in the fields of print and design. The platform aims to assist graduates in making their mark in the industry through showcasing their work across our pages, personalised mentorship, and networking opportunities. Applications are now open to recent graduates to apply and gain access to these incredible opportunities, forging their place within the global print community.
Below, we check out the work of one of our ace applicants so far, Abby Crawford, a recent graduate with a passion for Risograph and creating artist books.
One of Abby’s stand out projects so far is their 2022 piece Forsaken; an art book Risograph printed in bright red and metallic gold onto deep blue and tan paper. Printed in an edition of 45, the book is bound together using golden thread run through a sewing machine. Hidden within these French folded pages are six lost cities waiting to be discovered. When first opened, the book seems to be blank, but if you search carefully you will find a secret between the pages. The spreads are created with the intention to be torn open to expose the contents that have been lost.
Think you’ve got the potential to be part of our Gradspotters platform? Apply now.
