A new Art Studio is born:ARTIDE – Arti a Tempo Determinato (ARTS WITH AN EXPIRATION DATE)

February 7 @ 2:00 pm - 5:30 pm CET

ARTIDE – Arti a Tempo Determinato / (ARTS WITH AN EXPIRATION DATE)

In the San Pio X district of Vicenza, Artide – Arts with an Expiration Date comes to life: a small artist-run studio dedicated to fine art printmaking, contemporary printing, engraving in all its forms, artist’s books, and experimentation. An intimate and authentic space conceived as a place for encounter, practice, and dialogue, open to the community through classes, workshops, events, demonstrations, exhibitions, and moments of exchange. The distinctive nature of Artide is embedded in its very existence. The studio is housed in a neighborhood building already scheduled for demolition as part of the High-Speed Rail (TAV) construction works. While the exact date of demolition is unknown, the fate of the space is sealed. From this condition emerges the name Arts with an Expiration Date: a laboratory that consciously chooses to exist for a limited time, quietly yet firmly occupying an urban space destined to disappear through the discreet force of art. Within a context shaped by large-scale infrastructure that redraws the territory, Artide positions itself as an ephemeral yet intentional presence: a cultural gesture that restores life, relationships, and meaning to a place in the final stretch of its existence. Not a monumental project nor a symbolic operation, but a proximity-based intervention—one that demonstrates how even the city’s peripheral, temporary, and fragile spaces can host initiatives of professional quality, genuine sharing, and openness. Artide grows out of the experience of Roberta Feoli, printmaker, printer, and artist, trained at the Academy of Fine Arts in Urbino and long committed to promoting sustainable and respectful printmaking practices. For over thirteen years she directed the print workshop at the International School of Graphics in Venice. Since 2018 she has been associated with Shepherd & Maudsleigh Studio (Newton, Massachusetts); since 2022 she has been a member of People of Print LTD (Derbyshire, England); and since 2025 she has been part of the Veerle Room Foundation (Antwerp, Belgium). She has been a Guest Artist for Boston Printmakers and Mixit Print Studio, has participated in conferences and artist talks in the United States, visited the Vermont Studio Center, and is the first Italian artist to have specialized at Zea Mays Printmaking, an international reference center for non-toxic printmaking. Today she continues to dedicate her practice to teaching, workshops, artist residencies, and collaborations Artide’s activities begin with a series of limited-capacity events. On Saturday, February 7, 2026, a workshop dedicated to cyanotype will take place, led together with Matteo Totaro, teacher and typographer engaged in the exploration of new visual languages and analog printing processes, with particular attention to the relationship between image, material, and narrative. On Saturday, February 21, 2026, a drypoint workshop will follow, using recycled materials such as food-grade cardboard, culminating in the printing of a small, precious edition.

Personalized sessions are also available for small groups, couples, or individuals interested in fine art printmaking or the production of specific editions. Registrations will be accepted and confirmed by email, in order of arrival, until the four available places for each session are filled. Artide – Arts with an Expiration Date is a laboratory born with the knowledge that it will end. A brief space of creation, thought, and imagination in the heart of a neighborhood undergoing imposed transformation: a small urban miracle, destined to live intensely before disappearing.
