Drypoint is one of the techniques at the base of intaglio printing, it is very direct as it is engraved directly on the plate as if you were drawing, for this reason it is the most suitable technique with which to approach printing with the press, a tool that has accompanied us for hundreds of years in the reproduction of images!

Together we will see some historical references on this engraving technique, after which we will learn about the tools, we will see how to engrave and how to print.
Each participant will be given a plexiglass plate on which they will engrave their drawing.
Once the drawing is ready, we will print our plates, also experimenting with the monotype technique.
At the end of the day, participants will know the basics of intaglio printing and will bring with them, the plate and the prints produced during the day.

All the materials needed for the workshop are included in the cost and made available by us.
