Hacking Your Inkjet

March 8, 2025 @ 10:00 am - 3:30 pm GMT
£65

Discover how to transform an inkjet printer into an experimental tool to create unique and ever-changing prints. During the workshop we will open, disassemble and modify printers, a tool that most of us have at home. We will create a series of unique and original prints that will become a fanzine.

What will we do?

Inkjet printing is a technology that projects tiny drops of ink onto the support. But what happens if we break this pattern? During the workshop we will explore mechanical techniques to generate unique and unpredictable prints.
Each participant will have the opportunity to experiment with various approaches, creating images through the use of waste materials, tears, transparencies and hacking the printer. The result will be a single-copy poster that, folded and cut, will transform into a personalized fanzine.

Who is the workshop suitable for?

The workshop is suitable for everyone, it is not necessary to know how to draw or have other knowledge and all the materials necessary for the workshop are included in the cost and made available by us.
If you hate (like everyone) your home printer, this could be the opportunity to learn how to tear it to pieces!
