Linocut 101 with Sarah Bogdal by Little Art House

Class Experience
Ready to dive into the world of linocut? Sarah will be your guide through this hands-on workshop. In this class, you’ll learn how to draw, transfer, carve, and print your own design, leaving with your very own carved block and three custom prints! No prior experience? No problem—this class is perfect for all skill levels.
You will leave with:
● Your carved block
● 3 prints from your carved block
● Access to resources covered in class (handouts, presentation)
Notes
This class requires at least four registrants. If it doesn’t meet the requirement, you will have the following options: receive a credit toward another class, transfer your registration to the same class on another date, or choose a full refund.
Class Requirements
- Open to all levels.
- All materials are provided. A one-time $10 supply fee is due to the instructor at the beginning of the first class. Cash, Venmo, or Credit/Debit are accepted.
What you’ll learn
- An overview of the history of printmaking, relief, and linocut as well as detailed information about materials.
- Tips on how to take advantage of the medium to produce a successful relief print.
- How to carve your design.
- How to print your design using both a baren and an etching press.
