The Ink Club: Meet up for printmakers (Bristol event)
The Ink Club is hosting a Bristol Printmakers Meet-Up on Saturday 17th October, 12–4pm, and we’d love you to join us!
About the meet-up
The Ink Club hosts regular free gatherings for printmakers. Its a chance to step away from our often-isolating studios, meet the people behind our online connections, and enjoy a drink/coffee with others who share a love of print.
The meet-ups are completely free and open to all print techniques and experience levels. Whether you’re a seasoned printmaker or just starting out, come along for a relaxed afternoon of meeting fellow makers.
Some people like to bring a small portfolio to share, but it’s definitely not required! Feel free to stay for the whole afternoon or just pop in and out whenever suits you.

The Old Vic Theatre
King Street, Bristol

A lovely, central space with plenty of places nearby to grab food and coffee. Wapping Wharf is also just a 10-minute walk along the harbourside.
Badge machine
Bring along any offcuts, misprints or little bits of work that can’t quite become a ‘second’ I’ll have a badge machine available so you can turn those scraps into something lovely!
There will be enough badge blanks for everyone to make 3 badges each:
- One to keep – a little something for you to take home.
- One to trade – swap with another maker at the event. A lovely and easy way to introduce yourself to someone new!
- One to leave behind – add your handle to the badge and it’ll become part of a collection we take to future meet-ups, helping other makers discover you.
Don’t have any of your own work to use? No worries! I’ll have various offcuts available on the day so everyone can join in.
We’re expecting printmakers from across the UK and beyond, with people confirmed from as far as Scotland and the USA. It’s shaping up to be a lovely afternoon!
