January is always a dull month but thanks to The Guardian that they have decided to start off 2015 with a totally inspiring exhibition displaying the charming work created by legendary letterpress practitioner Alan Kitching. Letterpress often gives a sense of energy and enthusiasm, and you will definitely be inspired once you visit the show which is centred around the typographic experiments and type-driven design work – not to mention the chance for you to assess the relationship between the newspaper and printer.
The accompanied catalogue, printed on newsprint, also includes contributions from Alan Kitching, former Creative Director of The Guardian Mark Porter, Editor of The Guardian Alan Rusbridger, and John L. Walters of Eye Magazine. Now, take some time away and head down to The Guardians headquarter in King’s Cross. It’s a rare opportunity to have such a pleasant exhibition waiting for everyone to delve into the great experimental, typographic works.
