The second exhibition of Mikhail Lychkovskiy’s posters has started in the Georgian city of Batumi. Like his previous exhibition, the purpose of this one is to popularise the “poster” genre, and to acquaint people with its history and features. In this regard, the exhibition takes place in the popular bar, Can’t Stop, occupying almost all of the free space on the walls.
For more immersion in poster history, among the exhibited works there are those that are dedicated to famous poster artists (such as Michel Quarez) or made at famous master’s workshops (i.e. Peter Bankov Poster workshops). This time, the exhibition includes not only 70x100cm posters, but also tiny stickers of each of them.
Mikhail Lychkovskiy is contemporary designer and poster artist. His works are based on typographic treatment and mixing of national graphic styles. Mikhail often uses markers, acrylic paint, tired brushes, broken toothpicks and other improvised tools.
The show is open to the public until December 3rd 2022 from 18:00 to 02:00 every day except Monday at Parnavaz Mepe 49. Admission is free.
