A recent collaboration between photographers Las Coleccionistas and designer Emma Pardos caught our eye thanks to its colourful prints applied to a variety of fabrics with different finishes. Having been designed in Barcelona and produced in Spain, the collection consists of printed unisex accessories for city life, with limited edition backpacks, socks and scarfs to brighten a rainy day.
However, its the pattern which makes these accessories different, made up of an assortment of discarded objects, which have each been catalogued and individually organised on bold backgrounds. As a result order has been bought to these otherwise unrelated objects and the throw away objects have a new purpose and create patterns through the photography by Las Coleccionistas.
Silk, polyester and knitted fabrics are used throughout this limited edition collection, this mix of materials are adapted to each accessory and chosen for their functionality, but each one gives the print a different texture and a new lease of life for the objects in the pattern.
