Based in London and made up of Rob Gonzalez and Jonathan Quainton, Sawdust are a duo specialising in custom typography, branding and general art direction. Showcasing a brilliant portfolio of experimental typography, it is clear Sawdust are top of their game. Recent project, ‘Flow’ explores depth in type using acrylic on acetate. Creating natural arches and shadows, warping the letterforms, Sawdust have created a fresh and bright typeface full of character and energy. The 3rd dimension is often completely overlooked in typography so it is great to see sawdust quite literately bending the rules of type
