Matteo Barbi is a graphic designer from Turin, Italy. His approach to design is spontaneous; guided by intuitions, details, shapes, and contrasts, allowing for versatility and variability in all his work.
After studying Graphic Design, Matteo’s practice has focused on typography, brand identity and visual design projects. Combining vector and hand-drawn illustrations, his work crosses over a multitude of creative platforms including campaigns, concepts, books, posters, flyers, and more. Matteo’s signature style is bold, contemporary, and based on chromatic and typographic contrasts.

With a curious approach to experimentation and research, he finds inspiration in everything that surrounds him. Matteo translates this research and study into simple shapes and colours defining his trademark design aesthetic. His working process involves not only research, but considers the interaction between project and person as well as the union of multiple disciplines. Interactive posters and visuals in augmented reality are just some of the subjects included in his latest works.

His personal works and continuous research have provided the opportunity for Matteo to be selected and featured in sector catalogues and blogs, by AIAP as part of the new scene of Italian graphics, and the chance to exhibit two of his works in Milan.
