Vicky Phillips of Lightship Print Shop will be giving a talk in association with The Big Draw for all those interested in learning more about working as a surface pattern designer. The talk is designed for those just starting out in the industry, or that would like to learn more about what surface pattern actually is.
The Big Draw is a pioneering visual literacy charity dedicated to raising the profile of drawing as a tool for wellbeing, thought, creativity, social, and cultural engagement. The charity leads a diverse programme of advocacy, empowerment and engagement, and is the founder and driving force behind The Big Draw Festival – the world’s biggest celebration of drawing.
Vicky, founder of Lightship Print Shop; an exciting new London design studio specialising in illustration and surface pattern design for apparel and products, has worked in-house at the studios of Paperchase and Bombay Duck, and freelance for clients like Dolce & Gabbana and Scholastic. The Lightship studio has been crafted as a bespoke space on board London’s Lightship95; moored in the heart of the creative quarter at Trinity Buoy Wharf, East London.
