Issue 57 of People of Print’s monthly publishing project, Posterzine, showcases the work of British artist and illustrator, Magda Archer. Inside the issue you can read an exclusive interview with the artist, and bag a limited edition A1 poster of her ‘Stay Fresh’ graphic. Magda’s work consists of vibrant paintings and cartoon-like illustrations, with witty, bold captions.
Her extensive art education included training at Ravensbourne College of Art, Chelsea School of Art and the Royal College of Art, before embarking on a series of group exhibitions. One of Magda’s proudest projects was producing artwork for The Beatles Anthology in 1996, in partnership with Peter Quinnell, along with many other impressive commission pieces.
In a special interview conducted by Kate Hollowood, Magda tells us all about her inspirations, her working process, and the story behind her slogans.
Posterzine is lithographically printed by Pressision Ltd in special Pantone spot colours, and proudly supported by Foilco. and G.F Smith.
