Released earlier this year, In Bloom is Concrete Nature’s latest Risograph printed publication featuring the photographic work of 13 international creatives.
The publication is a visual essay exploring the different facets of the idea of being in a state of bloom, from the keen observation of nature to the celebration of being as humans and creatives.
Printed by Earthbound Press, In Bloom also celebrates the printing process itself by combining B&W and faux CMYK processes to bring to life the contributors’ work. The publication features Aqua Blue, Black, Fluorescent Pink, Metallic Gold, Mint, Sunflower and Yellow inks.
In Bloom’s cover combines the use of highly textured and contrasting recycled paper stocks Gmund Bier and GF Smith Extract. The roughly textured and almost soil like Gmund Bier is made using elemental chlorine-free pulp and spent brewer’s grain, while the softer GF Smith Extract paper stock is made from disposable paper coffee cups.
Limited edition of 100, available now to purchase on concretenature.store.
