Gist is a lifestyle magazine jam-packed with culturally diverse subjects from fashion, gadgets, health to tourism. Gist, meaning ‘an essence’ in Anglo-French, aims to report lifestyle-related topics to its audience living in today’s fast-paced societies. The publication was first released in 2012 and was designed by an international branding agency from Mexico, Anagrama. So far, the portrait of a model superimposed by a glossy-foiled frame has become its signature, the wise decision of the agency to create an image-centred publication, focusing on forthcoming photographers to put their work on show.
