It’s a Book :: Independent Publishing Fair

It’s only two weeks until ‘It’s a Book’, an independent publishing fair, takes place for the first time at the Academy of Visual Arts Leipzig, pre-celebrating the 250th anniversary of the school. In addition to the official Leipzig Book Fair, this event is organised by students from the department of graphic design and will be participated by more than 30 independent publishers from across Europe.

Over hundreds visitors are expected to join the event and a series of lectures by German publishing experts who are also looking forward to exchanging ideas and thoughts about book culture and today’s publications. It is a great opportunity for both visitors and international entrepreneurs to join the debate and swap self-published books, fanzines and other ephemera. It’s a Book may be a brand new page in the publishing scene but it will certainly prove to be one of the most anticipated events for book and zine lovers.
