One of the best things that has flown into our letterbox this month is ‘No Substance’, an indie magazine with a focus on fashion, photography, and culture. The content inside is simplistic. The publication is full of photographs taken by a community of upcoming talents; the only thing missing must be text. This 180-page magazine recycles the same idea over and over, imploring readers to delve deep into the lives lived outside the ordinary. No Substance might not have a paper varnish applied to its pages like other photography publications and not everyone agrees that imperfection is a sign of perfection, but to me, this is a publication completed with perfectly portioned ingredients.
