For Spring 2016, Stüssy traveled back to Jamaica in order to create their seventh bi-annual publication. Jamaica is a place thats been close to their heart since the early days. Drawn to the music, the culture, and the natural beauty of the peoplethe values and way of life on the island very much tie into the vibes at the core of their brand. This issue sees Tyrone Lebon travel to the Caribbean alongside Tom Guinness to capture the latest campaign. In his fourth series for the brand, Lebon explores Jamaicas variety, spending time between Port Antonio and Kingston. Immersed into the Rasta, Reggae and Dancehall cultures of the island, the images convey an honest and exciting perspective of the country.
Meanwhile in Jamaica, we also connected with rising star, Popcaan, the boss of Unruly Records. Back in the US, we sat down with Alex Olson, Tomoo Gokita, Daiki Suzuki, and Hoffman Fabrics, alongside features photographed by James W. Mataitis Bailey, Antosh Cimoszko and Joyce Sze NG.
