Lopez&Son is a mother and son print studio located in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. Founded in 2021, together Ignacio and Veronica Lopez produce colourful and conceptual screen prints for home décor.
Ignacio was born and raised in Pittsburgh, where he graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Studio Arts and Creative Writing. He has been published in a variety of art media, and has been exhibited at the Westmoreland Art Festival and the Hoyt Institute of Art. In 2021 he finished the Arts Business Program offered by the Casey Droege Cultural Productions and Monmade.
Veronica graduated from the Universidad de Cuyo located in Argentina, with a degree in Art History and Teaching. In America she found a job teaching art at the Frick Art Museum in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania and the Greater Pittsburgh Arts Council. She has always been a creative spirit, channelling her ideas into various forms such as jewellery and watercolour. Her recent collaborations with her son have found her making beautiful abstract screen prints that balance colour and shapes.
Their screen prints take inspiration from a variety of sources from the natural world to repeat patterns. Playing with colour, shape, and composition, together they create striking pieces perfect for bringing vibrancy and uniqueness to your home.
