With the aim to revive the lost art of the written word and celebrate the beauty and tactility of print and the joy of colour, Fanciful pages is a London based atelier and stationary shop. Founded by graphic designer Aoife Barron in 2013 and launched the following April, she specializes in letterpress, screen print and bespoke hand bound journals. The collections are colourful, quirky and tactile, influenced by Aoife’s love of anything French, hand written letters and her penchant for a pastel palette.
She told us:
I founded FP simply as a creative outlet to challenge myself and because I love stationery and all things paper and print. Fanciful Pages is a happy place where everything is colourful and whimsical! In the future I want to grow and expand Fanciful Pages and design more bespoke stationery
She uses letterpress to print a lot of the greeting cards herself and sends other work out to specialist printers for screen-printing and risography. The journals are made through collaboration with a bookbinder who binds and foil blocks each of the designs – and the result is beautiful!
