Lost Time aims to spark action and ignite conversation around the gender pay gap. In 2020, the gap stands at 17.3%, meaning women effectively work for free for 63 days a year. Lost Time have created a large-format, limited-edition print to spotlight the issue, with all of the profits going towards organisations working to close the gap: Ladies, Wine & Design, Creative Equals, and Designers Speak (Up).
The large format (B1) print is in the form of a calendar, and highlights this issue by using Spot UV on the ‘lost time’ days that women effectively do not get paid. Litho printed with gloss UV, what better way is there to remember the crazy year that has been 2020, whilst also supporting the cause by putting a super cool print up on your wall.
The design uses the typeface New Rail Alphabet, designed by A2 Type in collaboration with the iconic graphic designer Margaret Calvert. New Rail Alphabet is a revival of the British Rail alphabet designed by Margaret Calvert of Kinneir Calvert Associates in the early 1960s.
