MiraMar Print Lab is run by artist couple, Sammia Atoui and Adrian Rodriguez; one expressive and the other meticulously detailed. The pair create original, handmade woodblock, linocut, monoprint and silkscreen prints.
Sammia and Adrian studied printmaking at Rhode Island School of Design and School of Museum of Fine Arts/Tufts University, respectively. In 2019 they opened MiraMar Print Lab, a non-traditional art studio and gallery focused on the art of printmaking. Miramar (look to the sea in Spanish) is well suited to this shop which looks directly onto Massachusetts Bay in the seaside town of Swampscott, Massachusetts. But the couple choose this name for their children Amira and Maddox Atoui-Rodriguez.

At MiraMar, the artists create affordable, and accessible collections that reflect the season, the local landscape and often with a mix of absurdist humour. The studio also hosts classes and workshops for all ages teaching essential printmaking techniques along with drawing, colour theory, and pattern design.
