The UK’s largest contemporary print fair is back for its seventh edition! Explore, discover, and collect the very best in international contemporary original print from over 500 artists and leading galleries at London’s latest landmark creative destination from the 3rd through to the 6th November 2022. On show will be pieces by Julian Opie, Sir Michael Craig Martin, Gary Hume, Yinka Shonibare, Tom Hammick, Gavin Turk, Grayson Perry and many more.
On a mission to educate collectors and novices alike on printmaking processes and techniques, give emerging artists a platform, and share the joy of collecting original art with the masses, Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair was established in 2016 and continues to be a pioneer in the world of contemporary print.
Accessibility and originality are at the heart of WCPF’s ethos. The fair creates a welcoming environment for both aspiring collectors and seasoned art world professionals. Prints by emerging practitioners sit alongside pieces by household names, with prices starting at just £100. By bringing together both independent artists and gallery led booths, WCPF offers an entirely unique and exciting art fair experience.
This year, WCPF have partnered with Jealous Gallery, a stalwart of the London print market, to release a brand-new print with David Shrigley exclusively to the Fair. They have also paired up with the Prints & Multiples department at Bonhams auction house who will present, specially for the first time at WCPF, a showroom showcaing a selection of works by renowned contemporary artists including The Connor Brothers, Harland Miller, David Shrigley, Tracey Emin and many more. These incredible pieces will be on display to enjoy for the duration of the Fair, before they go under the hammer at auction and take up residence in private collections.
For the November Fair, they will also be re-launching their Studio Collection with a range of limited edition, bespoke textiles and wallpapers designed by four exciting, dynamic, and international contemporary WCPF artists; Tanaka Mazivanhanga, Odilia Suanzes, Cat Roissetter, and Eleanor May Watson. The next step for collectors’ curating art in the home, the Fair will host a dedicated Art & Interiors Space, inviting collectors to fully immerse themselves in fine art and envision a truly unique living space.
The 2022 Curated Hang presents artwork by leading international independent printmakers and is comprised of prints by successful applications from the International Artist Open Call. The hang brings high quality new and unexpected work into the Fair, while platforming independent, up-and-coming, global artists. To keep the selection completely democratic and fresh for each edition, the selection panel of industry experts changes annually, and the works are carefully reviewed individually and anonymously on a piece-by-piece basis.
WCPF22 takes place from 03 – 06 November 2022 (12.00 – 18.00). The Online Edition runs from 03 – 13 November 2022
