Ana and Tiago are the founders of Humana Studio, a graphic design studio based in Portugal. Both students at the School of Arts at the University of Évora, it was here that they met and started their journey. Even before the creation of Humana, they were both already connected to social projects such as For Design, and, recently, Future Print Club.
This experience led to the creation of Humana Studio, with the values of social and environmental responsibility at their core. The focus of the duo’s work is to design disruptive brands for organisations that have a positive social and environmental impact, or those who aspire to. Creating coherent and consistent visual communication is key to helping brands reach their target audiences and gain visibility.
To accomplish this, Ana and Tiago like to meet their clients and their brand as well, learning about its essence, history, and ambitions. “Knowing everything about the brand helps us define the visual strategy and identify the visual direction,” describe the pair. Once everything is settled, they then turn up their creativity and give the brand its new look.
Inspired by the belief that everyone has the power to change the world, Humana continue to work for a future bursting with possibilities, without disconnecting from the social and sustainable approach. They conclude, “Together we can all move in a direction to consider the social and environmental impact of our work has. By doing this, we will be one step closer to designing a future we can be proud of!”
