Manisinistre is a dynamic creative and printmaking studio dedicated to bringing people closer to the world of artistic printmaking. Founded in 2019 by Ilaria Lazzarotto and Vanessa Fantinati, two illustrators with degrees in graphic arts, the studio supports students, artists, and small brands in bringing their projects to life. Manisinistre hosts workshops and events designed to inspire and educate, making the art of printing accessible to everyone, from curious beginners to seasoned creators.
Their mission extends beyond education, as they also collaborate with artists, creatives, and small businesses to help them develop and realise their projects, focusing especially on self- published works and unique artistic productions. In addition to workshops for team building (ideal for companies and groups), the studio partner with social organisations to support their promotion and development. The studio’s offerings include their own line of prints, accessories, and t-shirts, all available through their online shop.
“At Manisinistre, collaboration is at the heart of what we do,” says Ilaria and Vanessa. They continue; “When artists approach us with a vision, we work closely with them to identify the best methods to bring their ideas to life.” Whether it’s through screen printing, intaglio, or giclée, the pair leverage their equipment and expertise to ensure their projects achieve the desired results. The Manisinistre studio is equipped with state-of-the-art tools to meet the diverse needs of their collaborators and clients. For Screen Printing they use a vacuum table with both water-based and solvent-based inks; for intaglio printing they have a custom-made 50×70 cm etching press; and for Giclée Printing they rely on their Epson SureColor SC-P900, which uses 10 Epson UltraChrome Pro 10 inks and Black Enhance Overcoat technology for unparalleled detail and colour vibrancy.
Inspiration for their own products come from a rich tapestry of artistic influences, including institutions like Print Club Torino and Il Bisonte, as well as the work of many graphic studios and individual artists whose dedication and craft they deeply admire.
Ilaria and Vanessa conclude; “We are committed to growing our audience and connecting with ever more intriguing artists
to create high-quality, impactful projects. Our goal is to build a vibrant, engaged community around these timeless art forms.”
