Dean Beattie

Dean Beattie is an illustrator based in Maidstone but spends a lot of time in Brighton.

He’s just released issue 02 of his comic book ‘Random Trials’. The comics follow Charlie Cooper and details his ‘explosive’ reaction to a pharmaceutical trial. All the pages are coloured in full with acrylic paints and colour pencils. They are an even mix of conspiracy story, swearing and violence – great, obviously.

When he’s not illustrating ‘Random Trials’, Dean draws sweaty armpits on the tube, bikinis and tattoos, and superheroes. Loads of superheroes. They’re charming, hilarious and excellent in equal measure.
