Visual frequencies is an illustration project by Spanish designer and creative art director Miguel Sousa. The patterns are based on Chladni experiments, in which interesting formations are made on sand covered vibrating plates. Different variations of shape and line can be made through exploring frequency and depth of sound, with the sand moving into circular or radial arrangements.
