‘Under The Influence’ is the first solo show from visual artist and photographer Dominic Hawgood. After winning the British Journal of Photography’s International series award with this collection of images, his work was selected by judges for it’s hyper real blurring between fact and fiction. Basing his work on the evangelical churches of London, he focuses on documenting behaviours performed during ceremonial activity. Set against perfectly lit backdrops it is hard to tell if these photos are staged or candid, almost presenting themselves as edited adverts for religion.
‘Under The Influence’ is currently being displayed at TJ Boulting Gallery in London.
