Temps de Vacances :: Les Couleurs

As Offprint London slowly transformed the breezy spring weekend into the brilliant warmth of summer with an endless list of inspiring publications, I was very lucky to have stumbled upon ‘Temps de Vacances’. With its enticing title, nothing could be more perfect for a lazy Saturday afternoon than this remarkable print publication that centres on contemporary movements and tropical joy.

‘Temps de Vacances’ is an ambitious biannual photography-oriented magazine put together by a talented 17-year-old editor, Adrian Lopez Peña. The inaugural issue takes us along on their journey through essays, interviews, and short features. It also provides an unconventional look into a collection of beautifully photographed nudes, scenic environments and abandoned places – a very well thought-out editorial concept by Naranjo–Etxeberria.

Contributors include international artists such as Nicola Samori, Ana Kras, Christian Newell, Roger Ballen, Hanna Putz, Renato D’ Agostin, Sasha Kurmaz, Hanna Putz, Bruna Kazinoti, Sacha Maric, Ryan de la Hoz, Brian Griffin, and Adrià Cañameras, a Spanish photographer gifted with cinematic wizardry.

Quite honestly, ‘Temps de Vacances’ is one of the most interesting publications I have discovered this year. It creates a fusion of poetic experience, a perfect combination of traditional and modern elements – definitely another addition to your shelf.
