A sense of both curiosity and spontaneity powerfully inform the whimsical creations of PARAÍSO, beautifully embedding a heart warming sense of nostalgia as 90s silhouettes are adorned with abstract prints. Established in 2012 as a collaboration between artist David Méndez Alonso and fashion designer Kirzia Robustella, both combine their multi-disciplinary talent establishing a continuation of their unique aesthetic and resulting in the conversational garments, which evoke an undeniable joyous energy.
Entitled Young Yesterday, Young Today, Young Tomorrow the latest collection perfectly expresses the playful aesthetic iconic to the fashion label and perfectly references the artistic playground in which Méndez Alonso and Robustella create, letting their imaginations continuously run wild. Only 80 units per each garment are produced, heightening further the authenticity of the brand.
Each detail of the campaign imagery is carefully considered, almost reminiscent of a pre-adolescent bedroom when subject to the scribble detailing in both garment and setting. The eccentricity of the garments radiates through the gleeful models and vibrant art direction, playing up the naivety embedded yet further informed by contemporary cut, in turn creating pieces of wearable art.
