Created in collaboration with a wool manufacturer in Spain, Irene Infantes uses the technique of screen printing to create her ethereal textiles. The detailing of geometric forms emphasise the structural element of the silhouettes, while the industrial colour palette with joyous accents intelligently references the inspiration behind the creations, this being photographs of forgotten treasures left on London streets. Using artisinal techniques including silk-screen printing and needle-punching, Irene Infantes masters the art of reinventing the application of the fibre for contemporary conceptual fashion purposes.
