Your Local Newsstand

New to our curated marketplace is Your Local Newsstand, a Singapore-based group of publishers, artists, photographers and other creatives who specialising in the publishing of photography zines. Their goal is to create that not only contain beautiful images but have strong and meaningful narrative. Collaborating with photographers all over the world, topics include personal stories, travel, social and political issues all of which are used to produce limited edition publications.

Founded by Huda Azzis, a broadcast editor working in documentary, fiction and online content, she created YLN from her own passion for zines starting at the age of 17! Where she would collect and trade zines with other online zinesters via zine forums. Fast track to the present, in late 2017, she founded Your Local Newsstand with the main goal to provide local photographers a platform for stories to be told through zines.

A featured publication is Portraits of People, an ongoing photography project released exclusively as a zine. This series aims to capture and explore the intimacy of portrait photography with each issue featuring a specific theme, curated in different styles of storytelling.
