Malo Malo is a French graphic designer and illustrator based in Berlin and works across a range of media and expressions such as typography, illustration, editorial and poster design. Fond of theatre, his projects are mostly rooted in the cultural field. He has produced work for a variety of clients including editorial designs for the Pompidou Museum, background videos for drag queen performances, illustrations for movie magazines and advertising banners for art universities.

He fell in love with paper and printing techniques due to his background as a print designer in France, where he studied.  He developed these skills to a high grade and focused on a plethora of different digital media. Once graduated, he settled in Germany where he has since been working as a freelancer.

Graphic experiments are an important part of his work and the majority of his illustrations are screen or Riso printed in order to keep the special bond with paper and finishing processes. Cultural democratisation is another fundamental issue of his work, and he enjoys side projects such as The Ocean of Hundred Types; a French podcast which brings together typography and travel in a poetic and accessible way, which he writes, records and illustrates himself.
