As a lover of mid-century furniture, in particular chairs, illustrator Mal Fisher couldn’t resist turning nine of his favourites into a set of limited edition Risograph A6 mini prints. The series features influential designs by greats such as Ray and Charles Eames, Bruno Pollock, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Arne Jacobsen. They were originally shared as nine Instagram posts, each with a small write up about the designer and their creation.
Printed by Antonia at Earthbound Press, a specialist Risograph printing studio and design consultancy based in North London, Mal worked with Antonia to find the perfect mix of colours to ensure consistency across the different colour sets. They have been printed using fluoro inks on Munken Lynx 300gsm paper stock to create a vibrant effect.
The sets have been produced in a limited edition of 50 and come complete with a certificate of authenticity. Mal plans to add another series next year and potentially turn them into a larger publication. Series two will take suggestions from his followers on Instagram with the plan to make the series a big love in for chairs.
