The Japan Series is the latest set of letterpress goodies from Manchester-based Dotto Studio. Created during lockdown by Dotto founder and designer Dani Molyneux, the series offers an escape reminiscent of a beautiful trip to Japan, with a focus on moments and memories.
Featuring four places: Kyoto Rain, Tokyo Lights, Fuji Skies, and Arashiyama Shade, each design captures a memory or the feeling of first seeing that place that Dani experienced. Japan is a much loved destination, so Dani hoped these images would resonate with others that were missing travel, and the feeling you get when you visit somewhere new and awe-inspiring.

The series has been brought to life in the letterpress studio of EE Chrisp with a limited edition run of 25 of each design. Sweet and petite at A5, all pieces were hand printed onto super chunky 900 gsm GF Smith Wild White.
“One of the lessons of recent lockdowns, has been to really savour moments. While we can’t yet go very far, we can still enjoy the memories of places we’ve been already, and look forward to new adventures,” concludes Dani.
