After a 2 year hiatus London’s contemporary illustration event, The London Illustration Fair (LIF) is back! The 2022 edition of the fair, which is taking place from 2-4th Dec, will see over 70 artists return to the iconic venue, Bargehouse, OXO Tower wharf, for another four day extravaganza of illustration.
LIF is an annual artist-led illustration, print and graphic design fair, bringing artists and buyers together in a unique environment. The fair offers the chance for illustration lovers to come face to face with their favourite artists and discover amazing new artwork from emerging illustrators. There is something for every pocket from the budding art collector, to the alternative Christmas shopper. The fair was founded in 2013 by Alastair Eland and Sam Bennett, who share the aim of promoting emerging and established illustrators as part of entertaining events.
Specialising in character design, bold colours, and graphic compositions, French Artist and Illustrator, and this years Featured Artist for The London Illustration Fair, Marylou Faure aspires to create artwork that invokes joy with her cheeky and playful style. Faure will take over the entrance to the Bargehouse with her larger-than-life inflatable, Skinny Dipping. This will act as the foundation for an immersive installation featuring animations, colourfully illustrated vinyl and large artworks by Marylou. Her artwork can also be found adorning their mailout, website and social media designs.
Alongside artists stands, LIF will also host a number of workshops for eager visitors to get involved with. These include sign writing, mono printing, collage, animation, and their ever popular portfolio sessions with Association of Illustrators. AOI will be leading a day of portfolio sessions in association with 6 of London’s hottest illustration and design agencies. This is an amazing opportunity for illustrators so check out their website for further details and to book your tickets!
