Documenting through compelling photography, the life of London skate brand Palace, from the beginning in 2009 as the Palace Wayward Boys Choir to the Soho store, renowned youth subculture photographer Alasdair McLellan has created THE PALACE BOOK in collaboration with the brand, celebrating the PWBC family through the photo book of historic imagery, resembling through both design and narrative a family photo album. THE PALACE BOOK is published by IDEA and features art direction from M/M Paris.
THE PALACE BOOK consists of 120 photos featuring a handful of members of the PWBC skate crew, including founder Lev Tanju and Blondey McCoy. Accompanying the photo book is a 7000-word essay, written by Dazed and Confuseds former book editor Stuart Hammond, the one to first coin the name Palace Wayward Boys Choir, as does an original Fergus Purcell-designed graphic and an iron on t-shirt transfer.
The book goes on sale on July 20th 2016 at midnight from IDEA, Palace Skateboards and Dover Street Market Online. Dont miss out.
