If you missed the East End Debut of Lucy Sparrow’s ‘Cornershop’ but heard all about it’s resounding success, then here’s your chance to see it again, under a slightly tweaked name, at the private view on Friday 3rd October, 6-9pm at No Walls Gallery, 114 Church St, Brighton. The exhibition consists of over four thousand handmade felt versions of grocery items, from beans, biscuits and spam to ciggies, beers and sanitary towels. Everything within the Cornershop including the till, freezers and fully-functional price gun is made from fabric, and took the artist seven months to single-handedly complete.
