World-leading font company ‘Monotype’ has announced the new exhibition at the Old Truman Brewery and this time Monotype will present you with a seven-day show on the type designs of Eric Gill. To celebrate the past and future of the most acclaimed typefaces, Monotype has added new weights to make the typeface families more complete. They will also release the Eric Gill Series a collection of more than 75 fonts to give designers more choice.
Hosted by Monotype along with Eye Magazine, Penguin Books, Ditchling Museum, FIELD, LeBook, The Five Points Brewing Company, The Typography Workshop and Letterform Archive, the exhibition kicks off on Wednesday 4th November at the Truman Brewery in Brick Lane. There will also be an accompanying panel discussion hosted by John L. Walters of Eye Magazine in the evening of Friday 6th November. Phil Baines, David Pearson, Claire Mason, Sallie Morris and Terrance Weinzierl will present their personal perspectives on the type designs of Eric Gill.
