Launching on September 6th 2016, the exclusive collaboration between Nasir Mazhar and Topman welcomes Mazhars renowned streetwear vision to a wider audience, ever-injecting the infectious energy of the UKs grime, garage and dancehall culture into the art of his contemporary British clothing. Sharing the same sense of spirit as the collections presented at LFW and LC:M, the only differing aspects are the affordable price tag and exploration of new styles and techniques, ensuring the Topman customers complete authenticity when the long awaited collection drops.
From the relaxed fit of the poly tricot pull over to the muscle fit motion blur top and frayed edge jeans with pink stitching, Mazhar states the consideration of contrast within the collection, designing different looks for different needs. Diversity radiates throughout, with Mazhar explaining to Dazed that the Nasir Mazhar boy is anyone, both individuality and inclusivity are key while the traits are embodied through this collection successfully.
Reworks of Mazhars classic designs will be available at a fraction of the price, including embroidered pastel versions of the famed tracksuits of the SS14 collection and simple vest silhouettes embroidered with graphic NASIR MAZHAR logo. Exclusive experimentations regarding all over print evoking a retro shell suit vibe are featured, as well as dark militant and sexualised club wear aesthetics, enhancing the diversity once more.
