Caroline Hanson is an artist and designer from Panama City, Florida. Having graduating with a BFA in Fibers and Textiles from the Savannah College of Art and Design in 2015, the range of designs Caroline produces have a strong textural feel about them. Inspired by underlying themes of geometric lines and colourful abstractions, Caroline works in her preferred mediums of screen printing, painting, dyeing, and laser cutting to bring her ideas and designs to life. It is clear that she has a well thought out colour palette and eye for compositions resulting in positive and light-hearted paintings and patterns.
One of Caroline’s most recent projects, titled ”Neon” was inspired by the juxtaposition between materials and design, as well as the irregularity of process with the regularity of design. Each individually printed panel is made up of plywood, hardboard, and acrylic.
