Anne Vieux is a Brooklyn based artist specialising in digital paintings. Experimenting with optics, her work challenges the typical notions of traditional painting; blurring the boundaries of illusion, depth, reflection and perspective in their twisted and distorted imagery.
She created her latest zine Edges in conjunction with a series of lenticular printed paintings. Exploring the limits of geometry and colour, the bold geometrics offer a sharp contrast to the fusion of colours that seemly ooze together like melted metal.
Each spread is sampled from one original scanned image ‘invested in the simultaneity of overlapping perspective’ – manipulated and overlapped offering the viewer a multitude of perspectives and peripheral visions. Published by Small Editions, the zine is available now with a print run of 100 copies.
