Hamburg-based illustrator, designer, and art director, Sebastian König was recently commissioned by Wildbloei Kombucha (a locally brewed kombucha tea company from the Netherlands) to develop the branding and label design for the organic drink from Nijmegen.
As part of the project, Sebastian created a series of Risograph business cards, printed by Knust Press, as well as aesthetically cohesive labels for the glass bottles of the kombucha. He kept to a restricted, yet visually-appealing colour palette of warm, earthy tones, reflecting the natural elements of the bottles’ content.
The clean typographic design of the business cards and bottles uses Int´l by Swiss Typefaces and is supported by an illustrated dandelion symbol. The dandelion shape and its spreading seeds represent the wild-grown ingredients the drink contains, and the cards are printed on textured paper to again reflect the the tone of natural and organic ingredients.
