Graphic designer and poster artist Mikhail Lychkovskiy held a solo poster exhibition at PANDA Platforma in Berlin from March to April 2026, with a screen-printed exhibition poster produced at Bankov Print Space in Prague combining digital freewrite letters, acrylic paint on crumpled paper, and two contrasting typefaces.
The name was proposed by the exhibition curators: Typoposterized, a pun on typography and pasteurised milk, a product safe from harmful bacteria. Safe, in this case, from anything except typography. The joke is a good one, and it fits.

Typoposterized was Mikhail Lychkovskiy’s solo poster exhibition at PANDA Platforma in Berlin, a cultural venue known as a hub for independent shows where jazz and poetry sit alongside design and art on the walls. The exhibition ran from 17 March to 13 April 2026, and the poster made for it aimed to pack in as many different approaches to type as possible in a single image.

The poster combines digital freewrite letters with acrylic paint applied to clumps of paper, alongside two typefaces chosen for the contrast they bring: Onlysans by Daria Cohen, playful and expressive, and FL Art Grotesk by Alex Slobzheninov of Flight Mode Type, stricter and more rhythmic. The tension between those two voices runs through the composition. It was screen printed at Bankov Print Space in Prague by Peter Bankov and Julieta Fedulova: Bankov being not only the printer but the teacher who expanded Lychkovskiy’s practice to include paint and improvised tools after his studies at the British Higher School of Art and Design.

Mikhail Lychkovskiy is a graphic designer and poster artist with a focus on typography and the mixing of national design approaches, drawing from Swiss, German and French design traditions. He has earned over 30 international awards and shown at the Chaumont Poster Biennial, the Toyama Poster Triennial and more.
