Eddie O’Keefe

Currently living and working in Los Angeles, Eddie O’Keefe is a 21-year-old photographer, filmmaker and founder of art collective Teenage Head. After a near fatal accident that left him blind in one eye, he picked up his dad’s camera to escape the inevitable boredom of recovery. Shot on film, his photographs exude nostalgia from a bygone era in a gritty cinematic style inspired from 1950s rockabilly and cult classics of the 80s and 90s.

Eddie’s subject matter often includes ‘delinquent’ teens, girls, cigarettes and blood, encompassing thematic intersections such as youth and melancholy, violence and sexuality – achieving a tarantino-esque, all American, retro feel.
