Buenos Aires based screen printing workshop, CHOCHO, have collaborated with graphic designer, CerezaDeMenta, on a collection of screen printed products including backpacks and prints.
“We need the tonic of wildness… At the same time that we are earnest to explore and learn all things, we require that all things be mysterious and unexplorable. We can never have enough of nature writes Henry David Thoureau in his 19th century essay Walden: Or, Life in the Woods. It is this spirit that CerezaDeMenta reflects in her botanical illustrations.
CerezaDeMenta a.k.a Geraldine de San Bruno is a Buenos Aires based graphic designer and illustrator. Her love for all things botanical and the natural world led her to study Argentinean native plants and herbs, further aiding her creative practice. Taking inspiration from the landscape of woods, rain forests and Patagonian plains, Geraldine’s intricate illustrations and paper-cuts highlight the species of these beautiful environments.
All of the products are hand-made and screen printed by CHOCHO, reflecting the collaborators love for nature. The latest design in the collection depicts a Buenos Aires local vine, the aristolochia elgans, which is now available as a print which you can purchase here.
