This year Scandinavian fashion brand Marimekko celebrates the 50th anniversary of one of their most iconic prints ‘Unikko.’ Created in 1964 after the company’s founder announced Marimekko would never sell a floral print, designer Maija Isola had other plans and designed an entire collection of florals that proved extremely successful. The poppy based patten has played a significant role in the brand’s colourful textile design archive. To celebrate brightening the world with their vibrant and uplifting patterns, the spring and summer collection features a capsule line of Unikko products.
