Zellerluoid is the artist behind The Bicylce Press. After many years using his “very unpronounceable” artist pseudonym ‘Zellerluoid‘ for everything screen print related, he has now reinvented his creative practice under the name of his studio, The Bicycle Press. “It’s never the right moment to do such things, especially when over the last 13 years my intention was to push this project forward under the old moniker. But now since I made this change it fits perfectly into a broader forward thinking vision of my artistic development,” says the artist. As part of this development, Zellerluoid has built a new webpage and webshop jam-packed with lots of new stuff.

Working from his studio in a sunny neighbourhood of Barcelona where he is surrounded by old bicycles, the smell of weed, oil, ink, and the salty air from the Mediterranean Sea, Zellerluoid creates illustrations and posters, as well as working on screen printing on demand. His work is heavily influenced by his musical taste, growing up in the 80s and 90s, his observations of the world surrounding him, and the graphic universe of his record collection.

Recent highlights for the artist have included the release of a new poster for Cari Cari’s last show in Vienna, the creation of a collection of bandanas inspired by the 90s aesthetic, and a collaboration with Wien Museum which involved the production of a limited edition, illustrated bath towel.

The launch of his new online store also sees a restock of his legendary sketchbooks, a selection of new and old t-shirt designs, and a collection of unique monoprints that celebrate the process of screen printing and layering.
