Back in October, artist, illustrator, and graphic designer, Alexandra Ramirez, opened her solo show, In Bloom, at JERMS cafe in London. For the show Alexandra created a series of original paintings with the illustrations of the works translated as giclee prints to be sold after. The collection of prints and paintings includes charming portraits, floral motifs, and enchanting hands.

In Bloom is an exhibition about the exploration of mind towards beauty and calmness. Alexandra describes; “It is a very feminine approach to the journey inside us, for it shapes us for who we are and how we define ourselves. We all need a certain amount of stillness when we look inside. And to realise what it takes us to build a mindset that grows in bloom.”

A curious creative making visual magic, Alexandra works across many disciplines including illustration, branding, editorial, packaging, print, murals, motion design, and animation. Her work is consistently energetic, inspired by the fast daily life of the city she lives in, and is a colourful burst of dynamic shapes, lines, and emotions.

She wanders alone in her garden of dreams. In her imaginary paradise, she looks for herself.
