Ricardo Cavolo

I find it extremely hard to select featured images that would best represent the characteristic of this idiosyncratic illustrator Ricardo Cavolo. All his work shows an exceptional talent to create illustrations that incorporate a wide range of meaty textures and colours. He treats each individual piece like a grand painting and you can tell by taking a close-up look at his portfolio that spans a diverse cross-sections of projects including illustration, mural and editorial design.

What’s more, Cavolo has recently released his new book ‘101 Artists to Listen to Listen to Before You Die’ featuring 101 portraits of his musical inspirations from Dolly Parton to Daft Punk, Kanye West to The Ramones, The Black Lips, Elliot Smith and many others. The book is published by No Brow and he will also be signing his new copies of the book at the exhibition opening on 23rd April at Atomica Gallery in Soho.
